THE HACKERS PARADISE AND THE SAND TRAP COMUNITIES

Hello followers,

On the effort to make this blog attractive to you and new followers I joined 2 public virtual communities about golf. They are The Hackers Paradise and The Sand Trap. Now that football season is over and baseball is around the corner I’m going to concentrate on golf for the next few weeks.  I responded to questions mostly about people needing advice about what Golf Equipment to buy as well as discussing Tiger Woods and his future this year. Some of the frustration in finding a topic to discuss was that the forums were very specific.  I feel if I don’t know about a topic I want to do everything to learn about it so that I can speak intelligently about it. The advantage to participating in these forums is to share as well as learning from others who are knowledgeable about the subjects.  These forums also help in market research because people are discussing current products and technology.  This is very helpful to know what is popular and current in the industry.  In the future I would like to create topics of my own in these forums as I learn more and more from comments from other people.

Don’t forget to meet me at the 19th Hole next week.
Good Bye for now…..

WEEK #6

Hello follower, today I am analyzing how my blog is doing and I’m going to explore it a little deeper so I can make this blog better for you!
The post with more views was the last one posted on Feb 11 on which I talked about a case study,  I started the post with a sports comment about The Super Bowl and The Winter Olympics.  As all you know my blog is about Sports.  I think because my introduction on the post was about Sports it had a lot of views. As I try to get more followers I think a good strategy is to get more stories onto Facebook and Instagram. I do not have an Instagram for my Sport Blog yet.  I’m planning to open one very soon.
I was very surprised my Blog was viewed at Ukraine, Alaska and Poland. I have a few views from Ecuador which is my origin country so I’m not surprised about it  I will like to have more but the language limited my friends to look at it , also in Ecuador we don’t know about Football and Golf is very limited. I had one view from Peru which really surprised me but I loved it !  There were 51% of the viewers that checked it from a computer and 34% from cellphones. On my last post I mentioned my audience will check my post very early in the morning during commuting time. I’m going to continue focusing on this because as you can see the percentage of viewers that check my articles on the phones is high. I also mentioned my favorite platform is Facebook. The blog is showing almost all the views came from Facebook.  As a result this is why I’m going to be more aggressive with it  .
Below you can find some additional information.
And don’t forget … You want some extra fun? Meet me at the 19th hole.

Sunday, February 11, 2018

Hello followers, this week was very intense. We had the end of the NFL season in an extremely exciting Super Bowl as Nick Foles and the underdog Philadelphia Eagles shock Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.  It's now time for The Winter Olympics take center stage. However this week we are going to disconnect a little from sports and talk about what I have learned about Media Marketing .

We were assigned to analyze  a very interesting case about different platforms. After checking the statistics and cheeking Zappos as an example I'm going to pick Facebook as my favorite platform to advertise my blog.  This doesn't mean I'm not going to pay attention to the other ones but I think Facebook is the one will give me more benefits.

The three most important lessons  I have learned with this case study are:

1.- Adds, Pages and Groups each one is important each one is different and if we use them efficiently our pages will have lots of followers and views. My favorite of these three is Pages because its like having an other Facebook friend and if the page's  administrator responds to the follower efficiently the page's popularity will grow faster.

2.-  Another very important thing is the time zone . My blog is about Sports. Sports usually happen on the weekend , with that being said my busy day of work is going to be Sunday nights.  I will have everything ready to be posted early Monday Easter time. This way my article will be read for all the fans than are commuting early morning from all Time Zones in the US  . They will be talking with coworkers about what happened on the weekend and this will be a great article to publish after any big Sport event.

3.- Not spam, interacting with the follower and the tabs are three important topics we have to pay attention to all the time. Nobody likes to receive spam.  In my opinion interaction is very important. With proper interaction the follower feels more important  and will recommend our page and  keep visiting it . I feel that Tabs make the page look very attractive.

I hope you enjoyed reading my article. And remember: see you at the 19th hole for some extra fun!
