Hello followers this week I have been assigned to a special task,
we are going to analyze all the platforms to decide which ones I will be
keeping with my new business and why? The post from last week had more views
than last week’s. I will explain more
about this down below. I always posted on the weekends so I can’t really tell
if I will have more success if I had posted during the week.
Blogger:
Numbers on Blogger stay almost the same, but if we analysis
the pictures below we can see a big difference on the views. I think that
happened because last week I focused on what my blog is going to be about and
even though I didn’t have any comments, I have much more viewers because of the
topic, and I used the chat room as the title names of the chat room that already
exists. I really think last week’s homework was my best, and that is why I received
all the views.
Vlog:
My Vlog has 13 views only and again I think that is very
good for a brand new account with no followers. I think I did very good. I did a very good with the background,
my outfit and holding the golf club at the end. What I will do different will
be look more natural on my video by maybe use a monitor in front of me showing
what I have to tell, also I will search for a better app to edit the video. I
put a lot of time and effort on this short video but I enjoyed doing it. I will
use it on my business for specific instructions about golf, so the follower
will see different practices or golf clubs etc.
Facebook:
I did not open a Facebook account for my business, right now
I’m using my personal account. I think
it was good because not just my classmates looked at my post. As a result the
popularity of my blog increased. In the future I will open a Facebook account
for my business and share the articles on a personal blog as a compliment.
If I go by the likes I have on my Facebook post I didn’t
have too many. It was maybe one or two
likes per post. unfortunately, Facebook doesn’t
show the views your post has any more, but if we look at the stats from the bloggers
99% of the views came from Facebook. This tells me that Facebook is the
platform I should be using in the future to advertise my blog
I have 358 friends on Facebook , I’m following 31 different
groups on Facebook that are not related with the business , but I follow two
different individual groups (chatrooms) which are The Sand Trap and Hackers Paradise. I have liked over 100 pages, 14 of them are
related with my new business.
My twitter account:
Considering my account is very new and I’m analyzing post by
post, as you can see on the pictures my posts did very well, they were seeing
and I have one like on one of them. I do not have many followers on twitter, my
classmates are the only ones. Analyzing this number, I considered using twitter
more, because of the zero experience I had when I opened this account. With the little experience I have now, I
think if I put more time and effort on my twitter account can make it very
popular and who knows maybe I will have a tweet from Donald Trump About golf
(J/K).
All the people and companies I’m following is because of my
business. I will keep using it for that purpose. The strength on my twitter
will be I’m a new on it and I had good results and views, so I will put more
effort on it and make it a success. My weakness is a lack of followers which
will change with time.
LinkedIn
I have been using My LinkedIn account for the last 6 months because
I was looking for a new job. I’m not really sure if I want to use it for my business. I think
LinkedIn is like an online resume that didn’t really work for me when I was
looking for a job. It looked good on my resume that I have but it didn’t really
help me in my job search. I also tried to join
different groups related with my new business but they were all private. I requested to be part of a few groups and
only one accepted me a week later, so I don’t think I will invest time opening
a LinkedIn account for my business right now.
Closing thoughts:
I think this class motivated me to make my business real. I will continue
with the idea of a blog. I won’t be using Blogger because I think it’s not a
friendly website. For example, I cannot
simply click on the people I am following and see what new posts they have. I
need to go to the main page and check all blogs. I also I cannot just click on
the people they are following and follow them among other things which makes
the page unfriendly to me. I like things made simple, a click here or
there and its done. I have been thinking of buying the domains of
a name and start my own blog with different chats rooms just like the ones I’m
currently following, The Sand Trap and Hackers Paradise.
I really love the Vlog
idea. I will making videos of new
product. I will start maybe with two
videos a month and see if it works .
I will be using Facebook for sure because I’m very familiar with
it. It’s easy to work with and will be Facebook:
I will definitely keep Twitter and will continue putting work into
it so I can build it up, I didn’t think that many people will check my tweets
because the account is still very new.
For the LinkedIn account I did not put any effort into it. My
opinion is that it just seems like it’s justt an online resume .
I will be opening an Instagram account even though this this platform
wasn’t included in the class. I currently have a personal Instagram account and
I really like it. I think it will be very good for my new business to have one
.
In conclusion, I will continue to work hard moving forward with my
new business and ending every single post with……
